So what do you do when the airport issues a ground stop and your flight is delayed by 5 hours for weather? You hit the airport Mexican restaurant of course!
We finally got to board the aircraft around 9pm. For a 3:30 flight.
When we finally got in around 2:30am everything was closed. Including the car rental place. 🙁 We found a place to sit until 6am. No hotel for us.
After an hour drive and a few hours of sleep we met Frank and Martha for a scenic tour of LaSalle. This lock and dam is in Starved Rock park.
Sunday we’re off to the family reunion. I’ll try to take a few pics. -cheers!
