We tried to get out of the summer heat for a little bit. We tried out the Zane Grey RV Village. This location is only about 1.5 hours north of home. We got setup, cranked up the a/c in the coach and started cooling down. We thought we would check out the area so we turned off the air and took a walk to see some of the features of the village. When we returned, the a/c wouldn’t come back on! Gah! The outside temps were around 90 degrees (f). The inside temps were starting to climb. Even poor Maggie was overheated. After about 2 hours we decided to give in and break camp to leave for home. We knew sleeping in that heat would be miserable.

We really liked this location. We could have stayed longer if our a/c hadn’t failed. I am hoping it’s just one of the capacitors up on the roof. Stay tuned for that repair. 😉
REPAIR UPDATE: After some searching on the web, I figured out what the issue with the a/c was. The capacitor was bad. I lucked out and got a new one for $15 bucks. Swapped out in less that 10 minutes. Sometimes Karma smiles kindly on you.

I parked the RV back at home. It’s ready for a few weeks of rest and hopefully an easy repair. Tried out the new tire covers. Hopefully they will help extend the life of the tires.
